Black Hole Fishing
(Also check out the Fish Lab)
Black Hole Fishing is an incremental game about catching as many fish as possible. Use a black hole to suck the fish right out of the pond. Buy auto-stockers to put the fish back into the pond. Use science to make better fish. Drain the pond. Upgrade everything. Repeat.
Check us out on Steam!
The Black Hole Fishing Demo is available both here and on Steam. You will be able to purchase the full game right here if you want, but please consider dropping a wishlist anyways. It helps a ton!
Wishlist Black Hole Fishing!

I will be posting regular updates on Steam, so make sure to follow the game if you want to keep up with development. That is where I will announce the (coming) playtest, as well as other dev news. I also post (almost) daily updates in the Discord, so feel free to join that community as well.
Create the ultimate scoring machine!
- Collect Fish: Buy fish from the Fishy Business Magazine. Put them in the pond.
- Combine Fish: Shove two fish into the (extremely ethical) Fish Press to create a new fish! The new fish will contain Traits from BOTH of the old fish. What a deal!
- Breed Fish: Tired of losing fish to the press? Give two fish an intimate moment, and receive a NEW FISH as a reward! Warning: Cross-breeding will result in randomized traits, repeat until desired results are achieved.
- Design Fish: Tired of waiting for the genetic lottery to pay out? Take the genomes into your own hands by directly injecting fish with Traits. Results almost guaranteed!
- Collide Fish: Science isn't going to progress itself! Use the Large Halibut Collider to combine fish at relativistic speeds! Discover all six Quantum Sharks, and use them to progress our understanding of destructive singularities at an alarming rate!
Something Fishy is Going on Here!
- Grow the Black Hole: Feed fish to the singularity to grow the singularity. Why? So you can catch more fish, of course!
- Drain the Pond: After consuming ALL of the fish, consume the pond as well! Discover ANOTHER POND under the pond! Fish that pond. Repeat until you are the world's greatest fisherman.
- Regret Nothing: Keep breeding and catching until you are the world's greatest fisherman. Surely your name will be remembered by generations to come! Don't worry about if you should, just remember that you can! What happens when the singularity reaches the planet's core? Probably a huge trophy. Don't think about it, just get out there and catch some fish!

Really liked this demo. Great work!
Hey All, I just got the web build working last night, and I've gotten a couple of interesting bug reports from various OS's and browsers. I'm not sure what issues are due to the game engine and what issues are bugs I can fix, but I'm collecting data, so if you see something weird, please respond with a screen shot and your OS/Browser. Alternatively, I do have a feedback form link in the game - feel free to use that if you don't want to comment publicly. Thanks :D
Good game, only complain is that for some reason while ui is open visual position of fish and target doesn't update (they do travel but visually they remain in the same position) which is confusing at first
Weird, I'll look into it. I just got the web build working, so there are probably quite a few bugs I'm not aware of.
To clarify, the fish don't move? And which UI element do you have open when this is happening? I'm trying to reproduce the issue :)
Well everything inside of pond doesn't have animation unless I click "Hide UI" button (stockers have animation of filling but doesn't show when fish exits) but it still detects when fish get caught in black hole or when I trow hook. If it's help I'm playing on MacBook Air (Os Sequoia 15.5) with M4 chip and 24G unified memory + I'm playing on OperaGx
Great Game. This game is cozy, minimalistic but fun. I hope you add more content when the full game is released.
Thanks :) I'm working on a big content update for the demo as well as the full game - I just wanted to get the web build up before I got too far down the rabbit hole
